How close is Christopher’s to the center of town?
We’re located on the east edge of the center of town perfectly situated to access galleries, restaurants, shopping and nightlife. It is a short 5-7 min walk from the ferry/center of town.
Is parking available?
We have limited paid parking available onsite. If available, you should reserve parking when reserving your room. Parking is tandem and guests are requested to leave their keys with us in case other guests need to access their cars. Should you need to use your vehicle with some frequency, we recommend that you choose to park in a nearby municipal lot where you can have free access to your vehicle.
Do you allow children?
Since Christopher’s is an environment designed to promote adult relaxation, we regret that we cannot accommodate any guests under the age of 18.
What about dogs?
Dogs are only allowed in our pet-friendly room, Picasso. Only one dog is allowed, and there is a fee. Please see more information here.
What is the best way to get around Ptown?
A car is not necessary in Provincetown and is a very impractical way to get around. Christopher’s is located just off of the main street and the town is very walkable. A great option is to rent a bike.
What’s the best way to get there?
We’re at the tip of Cape Cod about 125 miles from either Boston, MA, or Providence, RI. You can get to Ptown by car, ferry from Boston, bus or plane from Boston. Some folks even bike all the way! See our Getting Here page for more info.
What if we have to cancel our reservation?
As a small inn we require commitment to reservations. In the event you must cancel your reservation, shorten your stay or change your dates, your deposit will be returned (less a $75 cancellation fee per room) only if we receive notice a full twenty-one days in advance of your arrival date. Any such change within the twenty-one days prior to your arrival date will result in a refund (less a $75 cancellation fee per room) only if we are able to re-rent your entire reservation.
Deposits for holidays or special events are NON-REFUNDABLE unless we are able to re-rent the room for the entire period reserved regardless of when the room is canceled. No refund can be made within the last 48 hours prior to 2p.m. on the date of arrival.
We cannot be responsible for illness, family emergencies, work conflicts or inclement weather. We highly recommend purchasing trip cancellation insurance, available at a nominal cost from any travel agency or online at insuremytrip.com.
All cancellation fees are subject to tax in the state of MA.
How much is my deposit?
A 50% deposit required for all stays of 3 nights or longer. 100% deposit for 1 or 2 nights. Deposits other than credit card must be received within 7 days of booking. Personal checks are preferred and accepted for deposits only. Visa/MC/AMEX and cash are accepted for balance upon arrival.
When can I check into my room? When do I need to check out?
Check in time is normally between 2-6pm. If you arrive prior to 2pm, we’re happy to check you in if you’re guestroom is available. If not available, leave your bags with us, go enjoy Ptown and your room will be ready at 2pm. If you’re arriving later than 6pm, please let us know and we’ll make accommodation for your late arrival.
Checkout time for guests and their cars is 11am. Guests may request a late checkout of 4pm if it is available. There is a $75 charge for late checkouts.
If you’re staying in town for the day and we cannot accommodate you and your car at Christopher’s, your options include street parking, town municipal parking lots and privately owned parking lots.
Is smoking allowed?
No. Christopher’s by the Bay is an entirely smoke-free property.
Do you have any rooms with two beds?
All of the guestrooms at Christopher’s by the Bay contain only one bed with occupancy of one or two guests per room. Rooms on the first and second floor with private baths have queen size beds. Rooms on the third floor utilizing the multi-user shared bath each have a full size bed.
Are there minimum stay requirements?
Typically for high season we have minimum stay requirements of four nights for weekends and three nights for weekdays. Weekends in May, June, September and October generally have a two night minimum. There may be longer minimum stays of five or seven nights for holidays and special events regardless of time of the year.
