Ptown, Christopher's and Covid-19
At Christopher's by the Bay our highest priority is the safety and well being of our guests. You may notice some changes on your visit this year but be rest assured we will continue to provide an atmosphere that is clean, safe and full of enjoyment and relaxation.
Our town leadership and business community, like most of our friends and family who visit each year, are following national and state guidance. This includes extra EPA approved sanitization and disinfection procedures in all guestrooms, common areas and high touch points. It also includes maintaining social distancing in hallways, common areas and outside, developing an alternative to our traditional expanded breakfast, touchless check-in and check-out and wearing a face mask indoors in common areas. You are also required to wear a face mask on Commercial Street from 9am until 9pm.
Many of our restaurants have outdoor seating have and have been given permission to reopen in a socially distant way (such as Strangers & Saints, Patio, Pepe's Wharf, Crowne & Anchor, Jimmy's Hideaway and Fanizzi's, among others). Of course, all restaurants will still be offering take-out if you prefer.
Outdoor yoga and spin classes are being offered at the Crowne & Anchor and at the Boatslip.
Also, for those of you who love a cocktail, several places are all set up with outdoor space to enjoy the beverage of your choice. Crown & Anchor, The Boatslip, The Club, Aqua Bar, and Shipwreck Lounge are all reconfigured with comfortable outdoor spaces.
Shops are open for curbside pickup and socially distant indoor shopping and browsing.
Bay State Cruises will start their fast ferry service from Boston on June 22, starting out with three trips a day, seven days per week and expanding as the summer goes on.
Covid-19 Concerns
In light of the emerging Covid-19 virus, we want to reassure guests that we are enhancing our normal cleaning process to reduce the risk of transmission. Christopher's by the Bay has always prided itself on the level of cleanliness we provide to our guests.
In terms of reservations, we will still be maintaining policies we’ve had for many years, but have added extra protections for our guests as developments in the situation occur. As you may imagine, this is a challenging moment for us at Christopher's as well, and we ask our guests to keep up to date on the situation before making changes to your plans. While normally some key weeks have non-refundable deposits, this year we are making it possible to reschedule for up to one year from the date of their stay, so if you are not feeling well, please feel confident knowing that you can reschedule without losing your payment.
